Air Conditioning Repair & Installation Experts
There are situations where replacing your air-conditioner makes the best financial sense. Homeowners may feel that their system is not worth the cost of replacement, however, not all problems require replacement. What you thought was a major problem could be the result of a clogged air filter or broken fan.
Many problems that occur with the typical air-conditioning unit can sound or look worse than they are. Outside air conditioner noise typically comes from the compressor, but the problem can also be a faulty condenser fan motor, loose service panel or a broken fan blade.
Routine maintenance can help quiet noisy systems and improve cooling performance. Many of our customers have reported 11% or more in savings on monthly energy costs. Low Freon, condensate line blockage, dirty or frozen A/C coils and dirty return air filters are just some of the problems that make your unit work inefficiently. Routine maintenance can revitalize an older system and have it working like new.
Our skilled technicians know the ins and outs of HVAC units and have the skill set to not only install but also repair A/C units. For many years, homeowners have increasingly opted to delay upgrading their system.
“There are many things I would rather be spending my money on than my air conditioner,” notes customer Erik Phillips.

When Is It Time To Call an Expert?
Customers often ask “what can I do myself before calling a technician?” Below is a list of steps you can take to troubleshoot problems and understand when it is time to call a skilled certified technician.
HVAC Troubleshooting Guide
Try These 5 A/C Troubleshooting Tips Before Calling an HVAC Technician
Our hot Inland Empire summers mean the air conditioner needs to be in top form throughout the long cooling season, otherwise you may be in for some uncomfortable breakdowns. Here are some ways to do it little troubleshooting before you call Text HVAC.
Air Isn’t Cool
If the air is blowing but it’s not cool, there may be a refrigerant leak. While a trained technician will have to charge the system, check out these other options before you call.
- Check the air filter. If it’s dirty, change it, as dirt blocks airflow.
- Clear obstructions away from the outdoor compressor.
- Make sure the outdoor fan is working. If not, call us at(909) 292-8567.
Air Isn’t Blowing
First, check the thermostat temperature to make sure it’s set a few degrees lower than the room temperature. You should also check the following:
- The thermostat should be set on “cool.”
- A dirty air filter may block airflow. Change it.
- Make sure there’s power to the A/C by checking the switches to the outdoor compressor and the indoor air handler. Also, check fuses and circuit breakers.
The A/C Is Cycling On and Off or Running Continuously
The most obvious explanation to either of these problems is that the A/C is wrongly sized. Consult us to see if adjustments can be made for better performance. Otherwise, do the following:
- Make sure an air register isn’t blowing directly on the thermostat.
- Change the air filter.
- Have the refrigerant checked.
Condensate Line Is Obstructed
Condensate lines can become obstructed due to insect nests or trash cans. Before calling in a pro, blow compressed air into the line to dislodge any obstructions, and be sure clear the area in front of the unit.
The Air Conditioner Is Freezing Up
A dirty air filter can cause a system to freeze up because it impedes airflow. Additional causes may be dirty coils, a broken air handler fan, obstructed vents or a low refrigerant charge.
Time to Call!
If your unit is experiencing obvious problems and you’ve looked for the basic problems, it is time to call Text HVAC at (909) 292-8567 and have a licensed, trained technician make the necessary repair.
Problems that need professional attention include:
- leaking coolant
- electrical problems
- ice on or inside the unit
- an indoor fan that keeps running
- an outdoor unit that makes loud and unusual noises
- a pilot light that won’t stay lit
- unit completely fails, won’t turn on
- you are unsure how to safely troubleshoot problems
- high electric/gas bills
- some rooms are warmer or cooler than others
- thermostat warnings
Fixing, or attempting to fix, the above items can often be difficult and may even void existing equipment warranties. Calling a professional will help solve these problems before they become larger issues.
